How to get to east Hokkaido?
If you're planning to drive from New Chitose Airport (Sapporo), while it is about a 5 to 6-hour scenic drive across central and eastern Hokkaido, it’s a fantastic road trip route. Along the way, you can stop by Tokachi, Lake Akan, or Daisetsuzan National Park. If you prefer a shorter drive, we recommend taking a domestic flight to Memanbetsu Airport or Kushiro Airport. There are frights every day from Sapporo, New Chitose Airport and Haneda airport（Tokyo）.
